Is the free version really free?
Yes. The full editor — unlimited notes and vaults, wikilinks, backlinks, search, the knowledge graph, split panes, and tabs — is free forever, with no account and no trial clock. Pro only adds services that cost us money to run: sync and version history.
How do I subscribe to Pro?
Download Grimoire first, then subscribe from within the app. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
What happens to my notes if I cancel Pro?
Nothing. Your notes are plain Markdown files on your own machine — they were never held by us. Cancelling simply stops syncing; every file stays exactly where it is, fully readable by Grimoire or any other editor.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes — $48/year works out to $4/month, a 20% saving over the $5 monthly price.
